About 8 years ago, we decided it was time to give our loft a complete makeover. We tore everything down and started from scratch, keeping only the original floor. Since then, our loft has served multiple purposes – from a home cinema to an office, gallery, studio, and storage space. Now, it’s primarily used as an office.
Do you have any rooms in your home that have evolved in functionality over the years? I’d love to see some pictures!

Hey , I really appreciate the racing game suggestion. Haha, I’ve been thinking about setting one up in the basement too, and seeing yours on the projector gave me some inspiration!
When we bought our house, the loft alcove was originally used by the builder/previous owners as a heated storage area with plywood floors, ceilings, and shelves.
Now it’s become an extra room for us, serving as both storage and a guest bedroom. It used to be the go-to spot for kids’ sleepovers. Adding carpet and Sheetrock really made a difference in its functionality.
