Has anyone found a solution for preventing fiberglass shedding on weathered ladders without having to replace them?

So, here’s the deal – my company has a couple of fiberglass ladders that are still in pretty good shape, but they’re looking a bit weathered. The fiberglass is starting to come off, which is a bit annoying, to say the least. I was wondering if anyone has ever tried using a clear coat or something to fix this issue? I’m getting tired of getting fiberglass all over my arms every time I use them. The thing is, one of them is a 10-footer and the other is a 12-footer, so they’re not exactly the kind of ladders you can just toss out. Any ideas on how to make them look and feel brand new again?
