Do you typically dilute Sherwin Williams paint before applying it, or do you use it as is out of the can?

We’re gearing up to paint the inside of our house and we decided to go with Sherwin Williams products. Just curious, do you usually dilute your paint or do you use it straight from the can without any modifications?
In my experience of over 30 years, I’ve never thinned paint unless it was for a sprayer. And even then, I always use flotrol instead of water
I’ve never heard of diluting it except to achieve a whitewashed look.
If you’re using a spray, make sure to follow the thinning ratio instructions. If the product is powerful enough, you can skip the thinning step. But if not, do not forget to thin it properly.
You really don’t have to thin paint unless you’re using a HVLP sprayer, but let’s be honest, nobody uses those to paint walls. If you’re rolling, no need to thin it out. And even if you’re using an airless sprayer, still no need to thin it.
I’ve never thinned this paint before. And if you’re considering thinning it for a sprayer, you might want to use a different type of sprayer.
We’re out of water!
I used to work at Sherwin Williams for 12 years, so feel free to ask for more advice. Just avoid diluting paint with water, unless you’re going for a white wash effect.
You could also consider using a sprayer
I don’t think so
Actually, John reen, that’s not entirely accurate.

Please avoid diluting the paint.
The paint is quite thick, so no need to dilute it with water. Just get some extra paint. It’s good stuff.
I’ve used floetrol for certain painting projects. Definitely avoid adding water.
