Do I need to let chemically treated 2x4s weather outside for a year before staining, or can I keep them indoors?

I heard that you’re not supposed to stain chemically treated 2x4s until they’ve been weathered. Does that mean I have to leave them outside in the rain, or can I just let them sit indoors for a while before staining them?
I’ll heal faster outdoors but will still dry inside. A good way to check if it’s ready to finish is to drip some water on it. If it beads up, it’s not ready. If it soaks in, it’s good to go.
Just gotta let it dry
