Could moving the outside outlet box more than 3 inches in a load-bearing wall have been avoided to prevent additional work and expenses?

Hey, I may not be an expert electrician, but isn’t it standard practice to only move the outside outlet box a few inches in a load-bearing wall? Cutting the stud seems like it’s going to create extra work for you. Now I have to move it over and make sure everything is done correctly with a new box.
