Can this window be rebuilt or does it need to be completely replaced due to previous damage and the $4k quote for replacement?

I purchased this window as-is, with no active termites, but there is definitely some previous damage. Do you think I can fix it, or should I just replace the whole thing? I got a quote for replacement at 4k, so hopefully it doesn’t need a full replacement! 😂

It’s possible to fix it as long as the weather seals are intact. Adding new extension jambs, making precise cuts, and repairing around the crank would help. It would be a simpler repair job if it was painted instead of stained, and that’s doable. Windows are really pricey right now. I get where you’re coming from. I recently got rid of over 60 old Anderson windows in a dumpster. The new Marvin windows cost $180k
