Can this thing be repaired, or is it possible to replace or paint it instead?

Hey guys, I’m thinking about fixing this item. Have any of you ever dealt with that before? Do you think it could be replaced or just painted over?
It’s about time for a custom top that extends all the way to the wall. That gap looks awful.
Why didn’t you take out and redo the wainscoting and position the vanity against the wall?
I might consider using white wood filler before repainting.
Try using Flex seal instead
Just add some white caulking called “alex” and then paint over it!
How about switching it out with a vinyl piece?
Yet another casualty of using wood/mdf in a bathroom that’s constantly exposed to water and humidity. It’s time to switch to pvc trim.
