Can the loose kitchen drawer pull be fixed without removing the entire drawer?

Hey there! So, we’ve got a bit of a problem with one of our kitchen drawer pulls. Basically, it’s come loose from the front of the drawer, but here’s the kicker: the screw on the back of the drawer face is totally hidden or covered by a false back. Is there any way to fix this without having to completely dismantle the entire drawer? Thanks!

It’s still a bit tricky to spot. However, the screw is most likely just hidden and you’ll have to take out the utensils in the drawer to use a thin screwdriver to remove it. Alternatively, there might be a wooden decorative “plug” covering the screw hole. You can simply use a flathead screwdriver or putty knife to gently pry the plug out of the hole to access the screw. That’s my take on it, but a photo from inside the drawer showing the screw holes might offer a different perspective. Just my DIY opinion

The front of the drawer is attached to the drawer box. Just unscrew the front part from the box and the rest should be easy to figure out

Remove the screws from the drawer to take off the front. Fix the handle, then put the front back on.

Yeah. It’s actually pretty straightforward – just 2 Phillips head screws plus another 2 for the handle.

Hey , I think I get what you’re saying about the screws not being accessible. One way to handle that could be to drill through the face of the drawer to the inside and use a longer screw to attach the handle. Another option might be to counter sink and use a shorter screw with a washer for a more secure fit.

Hey , the reason the screws are not accessible is because they are hidden behind the drawer face. If you take off the drawer face, you’ll be able to see and access the screws they are talking about. Once those screws are out, the drawer face will come off, giving you access to the handle screws.

I actually know how to detach the front of a drawer!! If you check out my post, you’ll see that I thought the screws holding the drawer face were not reachable, which is why I gave that suggestion. Apologies if I misunderstood the question.

That’s exactly what Anthony mentioned, it’s really simple
