Can someone recommend specific videos or pictures to help me tie together a manufactured home and a tiny house addition without interfering with the existing metal roof and ensuring proper water runoff?
Hey everyone! I could really use some help here. I’ve done a lot of DIY building, like framing floors, doors, windows, and walls, but I’ve never tackled a roof before. I’m about to start an addition to my home that will connect it to a tiny house that’s 14ft away.
I’ve got everything planned out, except for the roof. The roof of the tiny house is at a right angle to the home, and I’m trying to figure out how to connect them without messing with the metal roof on the house and making sure the water still runs off properly.
If anyone knows of any specific videos or pictures that could give me some ideas, that would be amazing! I’m a visual learner, so seeing it in action would really help. I’ve been searching on YouTube, but haven’t found anything that matches what I have in mind.
It would be helpful to have pictures of the situation.
This camera has a .5X zoom, so it may appear farther than it actually is. I wanted to capture both sides of the view. The height difference between the lowest point in the home and the highest point in the tiny house is about a foot. I plan to remove the ‘face’ of the tiny house roof and integrate the new framing with it for insulation purposes.
