Can someone provide visuals for a pergola across the whole house versus just over the new patio in my backyard renovation plans?

I’m thinking about removing the flower bed on the right and replacing it with a patio. I’m also considering adding a trellis or pergola. I’m torn between having the pergola go across the entire house or just over the new patio. Can anyone help me visualize what each option might look like? Thanks in advance!

‘t you think having the patio in the back would offer more privacy?
I have a deck in the back that I use a lot. But this is the west side. I want a place to sit outside in the evening. I’m planning on fencing it too. I have a small dog and nice neighbors.

That’s the idea but I was thinking of using hogwire trimmed in cedar with a trellis over the gate. The fence will be set back and I’ll be planting day lilies and such in front of it.
