Can I use purple wall and ceiling paint on my bookshelf toy storage, bedside table, and cot for a cohesive look?

I’m thinking about painting my bookshelf, toy storage, bedside table, and cot all the same color, but the only paint I have is purple and it’s meant for walls and ceilings. Do you think I can still use it for these pieces of furniture? I feel a bit silly for not having the right type of paint on hand.

1) Before you start painting any of that, make sure to apply a couple coats of primer

In short, yes, you can do it, just remember to prepare by lightly sanding and applying a few coats of primer until fully covered (2-3 coats may be needed). Then follow the same process for painting – light coats until complete coverage.

Sean’s suggestion of using spray paint is ideal, but you can also use a brush and roller. If needed, you can thin the paint with floetrol and then brush/roll. Lightly sanding before the final coat is recommended. The final result will depend on the effort exerted and the quality of tools used.

Avoid using regular paint on the baby’s cot, opt for an en71-3 certified child-safe paint instead. You don’t want the baby licking or chewing on it as it can be harmful. As for the rest, yes, but make sure to apply a good primer first. It’s concerning that some people approve using any paint on a baby’s cot.

‘t put this on your baby’s crib, it can cause serious health issues 😣
