Can I trim the molding around the fridge to make more space, or is there another solution for fitting the refrigerator?

Hey there, just wanted to point out that the molding around the fridge is actually stopping it from fitting in properly. Do you think it would be okay if I cut about half an inch off of this 3-inch piece of molding? Oh, and by the way, there’s a laundry room behind the wall to the right of the fridge.
