Can I remove the border and install new click-and-lock flooring without any problems?

Hey, I have a couple of questions about this border. Is it possible to remove it completely without causing any problems? We’re planning on replacing the floor and redoing the walls. Can you advise on what thickness of click and lock pieces we should go with?
So, when you say boarder, are you referring to the cove base? (The black rubber strip along the wall?)
Hey, I think they probably went with it as a budget-friendly option. I’m not a fan of it. I hope I can take it out without causing any damage.
Oh, it’s actually glued on. Removing it isn’t too hard, but the easiest way to replace it would be with a base that’s just as wide. Otherwise, there might be a need for a lot of finishing prep.
Hey, I’m thinking of painting the walls too. I’ll check out baseboards that are the same size.
Hey, it’s totally possible that the adhesive might peel off easily. However, there’s a chance it could leave behind imperfections and residue that will need some prep work before refinishing. Using baseboard could be a quick solution and will definitely spruce up the area.
Thanks a lot! We’ve got quite a task ahead, so I’d prefer not to cut any corners 👍
Hey there, it seems like that’s commonly used in commercial settings. You could opt for a base moulding that goes well with your door casing, doesn’t have to match exactly.
The tile seems like it could use some rest and relaxation too. Check out schluter online. They have various choices.
Mentioned that all the flooring is being redone since they just settled in this summer and are also planning a complete remodel of the bathroom.
So, are you planning to switch from tile to click lock flooring? I’d only consider that if the entire tile floor was securely screwed down.
When it comes to LVT or LVP, the thicker, the better. Aim for at least 6mm – 7 or 8mm is even better.
Hmm, looks like rubber cove base. It should come off easily, but be careful as it might damage the walls since it’s glued on. You might want to cut the paint along the top with a sharp knife first to prevent it from peeling off.
What exactly do you mean by border? I’m not seeing any border at all.
