Can I paint the appliance garage along with my cupboards for a cohesive look?

What’s the best way to go about painting an appliance garage? I’m in the process of painting my cupboards and I’m not sure if I should also paint the appliance garage. Any advice?

I think you should be able to do that, unless the paint affects its performance. Could you show me a picture?

Janik Greijdanus

A primer and paint based on alkyd, just like the one used for painting cabinets.

Can you explain what an appliance garage is?

Vito Knuth

You know, , right now, the bottom of corner cabinets are positioned at the same height as the rest of the wall cabinets, typically about 18″ above the counter. However, in the past, there used to be a small additional space between the counter and the upper cabinet. This space had a little door where you could store your blender. I actually have a rental with this feature, although I don’t have a photo of it.

I came across one for sale on Google, and it looks like they’re still available!

Have you ever heard of ?

Matt Wells

Haha, , I didn’t know that’s what they’re called. My in-laws own one of those.

Yeah, I think so. I actually used BM Advance for my cabinets. Just make sure to prep and prime correctly no matter what paint you choose.

The appliance garage was mentioned as…

Shylaja Kamath

Many people simply discard them, but chances are there are screws securing the door to the frame. You can remove the door, shape it into a circle, and then spray it.
