Can I convert my three-hole kitchen sink to a one-hole faucet by covering the existing holes and aligning one with the new sink?

Hey everyone,
I’m in the process of buying a new kitchen sink that measures 33 x 22 inches. I’m a bit unsure about whether to go for the 2-hole or 1-hole option. Right now, I have a three-hole sink but I really prefer the simplicity of a 1-hole faucet. Is it possible to cover up the existing holes and just have one hole for the new sink?
I hope that all makes sense… haha
Thanks in advance!
Single-hole faucets typically include a cover plate designed to hide the three holes.
I have the sink shown in the third picture. We installed it around 2 weeks back and I absolutely adore it!!!! It also includes a plug in case you prefer not having a second hole.
I actually own the same one. I’ve had it for a couple of years and still adore it, but unfortunately the cutting board split in half ☹️
Mine is under-mounted and I just never got around to cutting the second hole in my countertop so it’s hidden.
Oh my gosh, that’s insane!!! I haven’t even used the cutting board yet. Do you have any idea what caused it?
I believe it was due to consistent exposure to moisture. Maybe someone accidentally put it in the dishwasher, causing it to split at a seam.
Oh no, , that would definitely cause damage. 😭 Wooden cutting boards are not compatible with moisture.
If you buy a sink with a single hole, there won’t be anything to fill. Just make sure that the current sink opening is suitable for the new sink you intend to install. Measure the opening from underneath.
