Can I buy a sink grid and paint it to match our new gold faucet in our renovated kitchen?

We’re in the midst of renovating our kitchen. We have a new sink coming next week, which is super exciting!

I’m thinking of getting a gold faucet for the sink, so I definitely don’t want a stainless steel sink grid. I’m leaning towards black or gold. Do you think I could buy a sink grid and paint it to match? 🙆‍♀️

Do you really think so? And why wouldn’t you go for the black sinks? Are they too expensive?

I actually had to look up what ‘sink grid’ meant. That totally makes sense. Even if it doesn’t work out, it’s easy to replace. I’d recommend looking into the paints that offer the highest water-resistance. Maybe consider using an epoxy spray for maximum durability? Best of luck!

Irl, you’ve got this!

It’s not a huge deal if it chips quickly. Might as well give it a shot.

It’s totally fine to mix metals – brass and stainless steel actually look really classy when paired together!

If you want it to last, go ahead and get it powder coated.

Can you get it plated? Some businesses still offer that service. They didn’t even paint or powder coat it. The powder coating process doesn’t work well on the 90 degree angles, and there are a lot of those on this grid. You could also ask the sink manufacturer if they have different finishes available.
