Can anyone provide tips on painting over old wood floors for easy cleaning and a Navajo White gloss finish, with pictures for reference?

Has anyone ever tried painting over old wood floors before? I’m thinking of scraping, washing, and doing some light hand sanding to prep them. I want a nice easy-to-clean finish, so I’m thinking of going with Navajo White gloss. Any recommendations on what type of paint to use for this project? I have a lot on my plate, so any pictures of your results would be super helpful. Thanks in advance!
Consider Sherwin Williams Alkyd Industrial Floor Enamel. Our white floors have been around for more than ten years and we adore them.
Lovely old wooden floors! Using drum/edge sanding and a clear finish will give you stunning floors… why consider painting them?
Invest in the right paint for the job. Sanding down to the wood can be quite a task, especially if the floors are not smooth to begin with. If you’re painting over polyurethane, make sure to use the appropriate primer after sanding.
