Can anyone provide guidance on replacing and fixing the baffling bathroom lights in this scary situation?

Hey, can anyone lend a hand with this lighting dilemma in the bathroom? I’m completely lost with these ‘lights’ – if you can even call them that. Any ideas on what I should replace them with? Do these holes require a specific type of light fixture? And any tips on fixing the one hanging out of the ceiling? This bathroom is giving me the creeps 😂🤦‍♀️.

Those pot lights are from the 90s. I would recommend removing them, redoing the drywall, and cutting 4 1/4 inch holes for slimmer pots

Check out LED lights on Amazon to find the right size for you

Those are can lights

I replaced them with ‘canless’ LED lights. They have the appearance of can lights but without the actual can – just the LED driver.

You can also purchase ones that don’t need the can to be removed – they simply screw in where the regular bulbs go. The one that fell seems to be missing the spring/clip that keeps it in place

They are supposed to sit flush, so you can easily pull them out and replace them with newer, more modern ones. It’s a simple process, but removing the old light can be tricky due to screws and clamps. Make sure to handle it with care as it is wired. You can then wire in new ones that simply clamp to the drywall. These LEDs are extremely lightweight and can be quite painful if you accidentally hit your fingers on them.

I’m pretty sure I’ll be the one who ends up with injured fingers
