Hey,
Just wanted to let you know that the roof leak has been fixed. I could use some guidance on how to tackle repairing the ceiling in that area. Appreciate any help you can provide.

You will have to remove the impacted region. Ensure everything is dry and clear of any mold. Install new drywall, add texture, and then paint over it.

Instead of cutting out all the damp spots in a straight line and connecting them, try getting a piece of plasterboard and gluing it above the affected area. Tomorrow, screw it in place and then cut a piece to fit, coat the base, sand it down, and finish it.

Hi Cliff s, can you explain what the P later board is?

Hey, Cliff s! I’d love to understand your process better, but all the technical jargon is throwing me off. Can you break it down for me?

I had a similar issue with the ceiling in one of my rooms. The ceilings are plaster. I fixed and skim coated them, but forgot to seal them… and the issue came back. When the paint peels like this, does it always indicate moisture or a roof leak? Even if I prepped it incorrectly?
