Can a zero clearance plate be safely made for the Black and Decker Firestorm table saw FS210LS using thin material like ply or HDPE?

Has anyone figured out how to create a zero clearance plate for the Black and Decker Firestorm table saw (FS210LS)? I’m hesitant to try making one myself because the plate is so thin (1/8″) and I’m not sure if using plywood or HDPE would be sturdy enough.
