Can 14-inch overlay soft close hinges work for a kitchen remodel, and do you recommend 105 or 180 hinges for installation?

Hey there! I’m new to the group. I’m currently in the process of remodeling my kitchen and I’m looking to add some soft close hinges. The only issue is that my overlay is just 1/4″ and all the hinges I’ve come across are 1/2″. Do you think those will still do the trick?
Also, if they do work, would you suggest going for the 105° or 180° hinges? Thanks a bunch!
