Are you frustrated with the Chinese machines and assemblers stripping an inch24 mm, wasting time and money?

I wish those Chinese machines would adjust to either strip an inch or not strip at all. It’s frustrating to have to waste time and money fixing their mistakes. It defeats the purpose of their initial investment if I still have to use my tools to finish the job properly. It’s just annoying, you know? 🙄

I always tend to cut them off a bit further back and then strip them again.
Yes, I always strip more or trim those little soldered ends off.
Totally agree with you on that.
Wow, princess, are you going to make it through?
If that’s the main annoyance for you today, then you’re going to have an awesome day! 👍
After dealing with tens of thousands over 30 years, I totally get it 🤬
I’m sure you’ve had plenty of practice over 40 years, but this isn’t something that bothers me
You know what really gets on my nerves? People who can’t read a tape measure and immediately assume the test is rigged against them when they don’t do well.
❗️❗️❗️
Max, you’ve got a real reason to complain now! 😂👍
Seriously? So, all the light fixtures have their wires stripped like this. Whether they’re Chinese or not! You don’t have to twist the solid with the stranded, just make sure to hold the stranded slightly longer than the solid and then twist the wire nut on. It’s actually not that difficult. And when you hear that satisfying squeak of a tight connection, you know it’s good. Literally, every light fixture has wires stripped in this manner.
You’re really enlightening him, !
Haha , are you talking about sharing secrets?
Yep, that’s for you!
I completely agree with you, but I wasn’t too concerned because if he didn’t know that every light fixture is stripped that way, then he probably isn’t doing electrical work regularly.
Seems like the perfect size for a Wago.
First of all, you should never insert wire into a regular Wago
Second, if you’re using lever lock Wegos, you’ll likely end up clamping onto the insulation
The recommended strip length for a Wago is 8mm.
I saw a helper trying to force stranded wire into a Wago several times, even after I told him to just “please stop doing that”
’t be that helper
Take him to the hospital for an EE. Finally seeing a man walk with no brain activity. Wago lever is meant for stranded wire, but it still works best with nice, smooth, and fresh wire.
I almost passed out trying to read that… Wow, dude!
Regular wagons and stranded vehicles do not get along well.
Why blackout? Did a fuse blow?
Your comment was a bit challenging for my brain to decipher, but I think you have potential in counter-grammar operations.
I’m not a native English speaker, thanks to watching too much rey’s Anatomy.
Thank goodness!
I was concerned about you.
Keep it up! 👍
As long as you know what you’re doing.

Wait, who mentioned a push-in wago? That’s nonsense.
Kleins are used for stripping wire, clearly lacking knowledge.
Ryan erald
Nah
Dude we rely on kleins for everything. No point in lugging around strippers if you actually know what you’re doing.
I trust you gave him a good whack with your silver hammer
No
I checked his material pouch and took away his contraband
Definitely.
Except WAOs are not suitable for fine stranding
I’ve been using kleins for a while, while you were still in diapers
Wow, you’re really too lazy to take 2 seconds for that? Maybe you should consider a different profession
Why do you even require an inch of wire without insulation?
The circuit will have much better conductivity when touching the box, it’s common knowledge.
Having a wild day, huh? 🤪
Just the right size for orange wire nuts included with the light.
Just throws those away.
Perhaps you could use a refresher on how to properly connect wires
Oh my, while dancing with the stars
The struggle is definitely real for that poor guy

I understand what you’re going through.
Just remove the wires and don’t stress over such a simple task. I’m sure you’re great to work with, one of those guys who sees everything as a crisis.
Next, go ahead and solder that 3/8 strip…
Even if they didn’t strip, you’d still need to
Dude I can’t help but stress about architects and engineers! I’m just not into drama like that! Some people are so touchy!
😿
That’s a prima donna complaint if I ever heard one
This should simply be categorized as a “pet peeve”. Just anticipate it and accept it.
Aww, poor thing
Let it out, it’s okay
Just pretend that they haven’t been pre-stripped and simply cut and strip them yourself.

Complaining about nothing much… You’re an electrician, just hush and start stripping some wire. That’s pretty much what you do
That’s actually the correct length for the small wire nuts. I only strip more if I have more than 3 wires to connect. I try to avoid that as much as possible. Stripping off an inch might be excessive.
You know what really annoys me? None of those conductors could be placed on the tape for a quick and easy read. 🤷🏼♂️😂
Just and only the new text:

Bummer, man
That’s exactly what I was thinking, ! 😂
I know, , it can be tough for a few of us.
Just get that damn thing installed and instead of taking photos and sharing on social media, it’s probably better to move on to the next task
Haha I’ve always had this thought. I always wonder why they give me such short screws, I end up stripping them every time for ceiling fans and light fixtures
Complaining, complaining, complaining. Should have been a dog.
Stop acting childish lol
I could have connected three of them in the time it took to snap and share that photo.
This is the perfect time for wagos.

I totally agree, it’s a valid complaint. It’s so frustrating to watch apprentices struggle with splices without stripping the wires first. It’s just not efficient. You should either strip 3/4″-1″ or leave it as is 👍😂
Who would need an inch stripped…?? Just 1/2”-3/4”, that’s all.
It’s true, everyone loves to whine and moan about you sharing something that annoys you 🤣. You’re good, man. I understand your frustration.

The factory does that testing before shipping the products. It’s not meant for the convenience of the installer.
They undress for their own reasons, not yours.
Finally, someone said what we were all thinking. That stuff is the worst.
😢
First off, why complain about the two seconds it takes to strip 12 or 14 AW wire? Second, why use side cutters to strip? And third, Klein is a tool company, not a verb. You wouldn’t call a reciprocating saw a “Milwaukee” just because they were the original manufacturers.
Just go ahead and do it….but just a heads up, bending 500 MCM wire is no easy feat
They’re all 3/8…..enough
Seems like you’re facing some major issues, huh
