Bushing
I’ve never used bushings in pvc connectors, only in metal ones.
Alright then. Do you think a pvc male adapter offers the same or better protection than a bushing?
It’s much better to add bushings for improved protection.
For smaller wires, they may not require them. 300.4 4 awg or larger.
Take a look at 352.46 for pvc. Would a male adapter offer the same or superior protection as a bushing? In most cases, no, as a male adapter is just as sharp as the pvc itself.
The still can work without it for smaller wire, but most of us still use it.
I prefer to use a bushing on all pvc. A few inspectors have requested it before.
Usually what happens is the fittings get messed up by helpers pulling the wires and then they cover it up with a bushing most of the time

Those adapters at the base don’t look great.
