Are these unique switch covers you found more common in the southern or trailer communities?

I’ve never seen outlet or switch covers like these before. Are they more common in the southern states or in trailers?

They are not traditional covers, but rather all-in-one devices that eliminate the need for a separate box. These were highly sought after in the RV and modular home sectors.

I highly doubt you will come across those elsewhere, and hopefully, never again. They were absolutely awful.

Those are not worth keeping, replace them with devices that require cutting in and are of better quality

Are those the ones that attach to the cable without needing to splice?

Trailer parks often use devices where wires get clamped onto IDC blades without stripping. If you think backstab connections are bad, these devices can be even worse.
