Are there any solutions for plumbing issues such as gurgling toilets, low water levels, and backups in the tub when flushing?

Hey, have you noticed any issues with your plumbing lately? We have an older home with galvanized pipes and we’re thinking about replacing them. Lately, we’ve been experiencing some weird stuff like gurgling in the toilet when the shower is on. Also, the toilet in one room won’t flush when the shower is running in another bathroom. And sometimes the water level in the toilet bowl is low at the trap. It’s been a bit of a mess, with water even backing up into the tub when we flush the toilet. We did have a collapsed trap in another bathroom, which we fixed, but the problems persist. We’ve already had the sewer lines snaked, but no luck. Any thoughts on what might be causing all of this?
Could be a blockage in the main sewer line or a pipe break.
It’s a good idea to get it jetted and have a sewer camera inspection.
Try using a jet to clear the blockage in the roof vent. It seems to be clogged in some area.
Make sure to look for a vent blockage before digging up the concrete.
‘t forget to check your vents.
You could also consider getting them scoped to check the condition of everything. Galvanized pipes are not great.
Blockage in the vent and obstruction in the main sewer line
I agree with , I recently experienced the same issue.
Yeah, make sure to inspect your vents and the drain pipes that go through the roof for potential bird or wasp nests. I once had a nest causing siphoning issues in a bathroom two floors below.
No ventilation in the shower. Not sure why the toilet won’t flush or is only filling halfway. If it’s only filling halfway, there might be a partial clog in the toilet, like a toy or toothbrush, not in the toilet line. If the toilet backs up into the shower, there must be a clog in the toilet line just below where the shower connects.
We’re planning to use the camera. Perhaps we’ll come across a few bends or a blockage in the line. There’s one vertical pipe we haven’t inspected yet. Could there be a bird’s nest or some debris in the vent pipe? It would be better to address that instead of replacing the sewer lines.
You just have a ventilation problem. It’s an easy solution.
