Any tips for repairing patio table plastic webbing with canvas strips and adhesive to cover sharp ends?

Hey, so our patio table has this issue where the plastic webbing is coming out. I was thinking of using a strip of canvas and adhesive to tuck it back in and cover the sharp edges. Does anyone have any suggestions or alternate ideas? Thanks!

Just put them back in the same way they came out.. I would glue them before inserting them and just trim the sharp edges.. no need for any other material..

Like Kate mentioned, you should be able to weave them in backwards.

Wow, that stuff is really powerful.. the sharp edges actually make it easier to weave.. I say give it a try!!

It’s cracking because the plastic has deteriorated due to sun exposure. Sadly, this means the entire piece is going to start falling apart. This happened to my furniture and it was really annoying. You fix one area and then another breaks, it’s a never-ending cycle until I had to get all new furniture.
