Any tips for applying epoxy to my spool tables for a glossy finish, and suggestions for modern legs that aren’t typical table legs?

I’m currently working on my first batch of spool tables. I’ve sanded them down, burned them, and sanded again. I’m thinking of using epoxy to give them a glossy finish and a smooth feel. Any tips on how to do this? Also, looking for suggestions on modern legs that are unique and not your typical table legs. Thanks in advance!

It took me a few tries to get it perfect. When using stain, go for gel stain. Despite my efforts, I couldn’t completely fill all the little holes with epoxy for that clean glossy finish. Achieving a glossy look is quite challenging. Finish off with polyacrylic. JB Weld offers a soft black quick epoxy that works great for any knots. I bought hairpin legs from either Amazon or eBay, I can’t recall which one. They have a wide selection. Feel free to ask me any questions if you need help. I’m not a pro, but I’ve made 3 epoxy tables and learned from my mistakes. Haha.
