Any tips for a first-time mudroom renovator on filling weird gaps and finishing touches like baseboard strips?

Can I get some tips? I’m in the process of redoing my mudroom and I just finished putting up drywall and mud. I’m planning on adding baseboard strips for the floor, ceilings, and corners once everything else is done. Is there anything else I should consider or use that would be better? This is my first time tackling a project like this, and there are some weird gaps from how the previous owner closed in this tiny room. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Attach furring strips to the siding and cover with drywall. Make sure to finish the drywall corners correctly. If you prefer, you can also take off the siding and follow the same process. Using furring strips can make the job easier.
