Any suggestions for fixing the missing cover piece on the shower regulator handle in our 1960s bathroom?

Hey, check out our shower handle in the 1960s bathroom. It’s in great working condition, but it’s missing that cover piece in the middle, so it’s not looking too hot. Any thoughts on how we can fix this?
Definitely! Identify the brand first and then you can either visit your local department store or order a new one online.
Take it apart. It seems to me like a 1990 delta with the handle put on the wrong way. Many trims seem very similar.
